James Godley ≪western literary advisor≫
He is a teacher at Showa Women’s University, a student at N・Y Actors Workshop, and its vice-principal as well. He was born in California, U.S.A., in 1941, graduated from the University of California with a B.A. in Literature and with an M.A. from San Francisco State University. In 1960 he served for the U.S. Army at a camp in Yokohama. He has been teaching English in Japan for over nineteen years. He found out about N・Y Actors Workshop fourteen years ago when he participated in a seminar at the Culture Center at Sunshine City, Ikebukuro. He was appointed N・Y’s vice-principal nine years ago. In the acting lessons he also incorporated some time for English lessons. He can assist students who aspire to study in the future at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. He has been active in the scene study lessons, performed various roles, and has been a big stimulus to the other students. He has been a great help to the school. Currently he keeps supporting us as the Western literary advisor.
